Well it is Halloween here and it is creepy here in the 'hood. Yuko is still really sick with the morning sickness. I guess I shouldn't call it that because she is sick 24/7 and not just in the morning. I wonder when it will just be in the morning.
I will post a couple more pictures from this run then I will be adding a gallery for the walk we took. If you would like to get on the notification list, please let me know.

I am back again after a long week. I am sorry that I can't always get around to posting here. Well tonight I present another in a string of wonderful photos that my wife took when we took a fall walk around the 'hood. She really does a great job with her Canon.
On the other news front, we survived the Shania Twain concert here in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have to say acouple of things about the concert: First, the music was too lound and thusly left me wishing I could here the notes. It really sounded like mush. Second, I left wondering if she was lip syncing, as the songs were so much like the ones on the CD. Thrid, Shania was dressed funky....
Things I like about the concert: I thought it was great that Shania made the show a family affair. Second, the light show was pretty good.
Well it is the night before the concert and I we are excitted. I only hope that Yuko will be back on her feet again for our big night. Her morning sickness seems to come and go. So let's hope for the best!

Well I am back again. Today has been a fun day for Yuko and I. First of all it started off right with Yuko not getting sick! We are hopping that she is over the worst of the morning sickness. I know that it is too early to tell but I am hopping that it is so.
We went this afternoon to a wedding reception for our friends, Asuko and Jason. We had a great time and had great food from Cossetta's. I would really recomend this resturant to anyone that like Italian, but be careful of what dishes you choose as some of them tend to be a little on the greasey side. Well anyway, I hope they get some nice things for their new life here in the US.

These photos were taken by my lovely wife, Yuko and her Cannon digital camera. We sure have gotten a lot of use out of the little bugger and the best part of it is that we got it for free. Her father won it in a bingo game and he gave it to her.
It sure was cold today. I am thinking that it is going to be a really nasty Halloween here. I beleive in 1992 we had a really bad blizzard on Halloween that left about 3' of snow on the ground. Let's hope that we won't have this kind of Halloween this year. I don't think that I can talk Yuko into going to any of the scary huanted houses this year as she is pregnant and probably not next year either, but there is always hope.
What I mean by the end is near is that we are quickly rolling from fall into winter.

The first few snow flakes fell today. Hummf! It is the changing of the seasons and I am wishing for the summer to come back. I gues it does no good, but I can't help wishing for it to be so. I am wondering how long it will be before the ground is covered and the chill in my bones is never ending.
This photo was taken by Yuko at the corners of Pillsbury and Groveland in our nieghborhood. Unfortunately, Yuko is really in bad shape with morning sickness. I hope it will pass soon as we have so many things to do, namely a Shania Twain concert on Tuesday....
We just finished 28 Days Later and I have to say that it was a very good movie. I some parts of the movie you can see the gain of the film and I really think that it adds to the mood. It scared the hell out of Yuko and I. well, maybe Yuko more than I, but it was scary and I am hopping that this kind of thing will never happen, but you never know. Over all I give it 2 thumbs up and would recomend it to anyone into scary movies.

Well I made it to the end of another week of school. I can't wait until the weekend so I can take a nap. Well, to tell the truth I have to get my butt down to the local library to check out some book for a pair of 15 page papers that I have to turn in, in a couple of weeks.
I hope that I can get out and take some pictures this weekend. It has been awhile since I have shot some B&W and I am getting the the desire to get out there and chance to catch some history.

One down and only two more school nights to go. Well the weather here in the 'hood has really been nice. We have been watching the leaves fall and the cleanup has begun and once again parking is at a premium. Well I got a good spot tonight and hopfully I can get one tomorrow as well.
Minnesota is the state of the ever changing seasons. I hope you can find some enjoyment in the pictures that I post here.

Man oh man, it has been a long weekend. Well, not really because we have been so busy. Yuko is keeping me busy doing things. No more laying around the house for me. I really shouldn't blame her at all if you know what I mean... The weather here is really excellent for this time of year. I was able to break out the shorts for the last go around of the year.
This the the attorney uncovered at a local pub that we were at to meet with an old friend, sable.

Well anywaz, here is a picture of a great friend of mine, the under cover attorney. We were at a nice local pub called, The Local. We had a great time visiting with our friend, Sable and her boyfriend, Steve. This pub is known for its awesome fish & chips, which I have to admitt is very good.

Oh man tonight is kicking my butt and my name is on its list. Well I will survive, I think... This is a picture from Yuko. I think she is really getting into taking pictures with me. What do you think? Please leave a comment for her. I love the reds of the leaves on this bush/plant. I think that is my shadow as I captured the same image on film.

This is the last of the photos that I will post on my front page. It is the view upstream on the river. The turbulence is cuased by letting out of the water in the locke lowering the height of the boat inside so they can continue down the river. You can check out the rest here or in the gallery. Today was another busy day for Yuko and I. I got the traveling bug, so we took a trip to Pepin lake, which is a man made lake along with the locke and dams that we have built on the river. It just seemed right to conclude this photo series with an activity dealing with the river.

This is a photo looking eastward from the stone arch bridge. You can see the power plant that is there along with some scary looking neo-art deco power transmittion towers. There was a water powered power plant there on the shore as you can see from the ruble that was left from its collapse. I got my photos back that Yuko and I took on Friday and let me tell you, they are awesome. These are the first photos I have taken with my new Zenit ET that I bought and it was still in the box from the factory. Well anywaz, I will be posting those phots in the near future, so please stay tuned.
