Working In Japan
Not a lot happening tonight. I went to Menards though to stock up on stuff for the weekend building on the porch.
A busy young lady named Gloria Was had by Sir Gerald du Maurier And then by six men, Sir Gerald again, And the band at the Waldorf-Astoria.
Since it is that time of year, I though I would post some links to some scary places in minnesota. Here ya go.
Not a lot happening here in God's Frozen Land. It is getting colder as we march towards winter. I have always wanted to climb mount Fuji and I thought this was appropriate from QOTD.
Old Japanese proverb: There are two kinds of fools -- those who never climb Mt. Fuji, and those who climb it twice.
A Little fun from Qoute of the Day:
Your home electrical system is basically a bunch of wires that bring electricity into your home and take if back out before it has a chance to kill you. This is called a "circuit". The most common home electrical problem is when the circuit is broken by a "circuit breaker"; this causes the electricity to back up in one of the wires until it bursts out of an outlet in the form of sparks, which can damage your carpet. The best way to avoid broken circuits is to change your fuses regularly. Another common problem is that the lights flicker. This sometimes means that your electrical system is inadequate, but more often it means that your home is possessed by demons, in which case you'll need to get a caulking gun and some caulking. If you're not sure whether your house is possessed, see "The Amityville Horror", a fine documentary film based on an actual book. Or call in a licensed electrician, who is trained to spot the signs of demonic possession, such as blood coming down the stairs, enormous cats on the dinette table, etc. -- Dave Barry, "The Taming of the Screw"

Here is a picture that I took when Yuko and I and her mother made a trip to the folk's house in Des Moines, IA back in July. I was taken aback the other day while I crusing some pictures taken while Daichi was just a little peanut. Man his legs were so thin. Now Daichi is a little chunk! Everyone was right, babies do grow up fast.
I have added a subscription feature to the site. If your interested, please sign up! You can find it on the right hand side of the page.
Not a lot happening around here tonight, just getting ready to get a lot of work done on the porch before the snow flies. I did get around to implementing this little trap for nast spam bots. Check it out here. It works when nasty spam bots try to access certain files in my /cgi-bin/ folder... HEHEHEHE
Even though I am pretty sick I have to comply. What I mean is that the city sent me a nice little letter informing me that I need to remove my rubish from in front of my garage of face their rath.... So I decided that I would take the day off and go and rent a Uhaul pickup truck and make some trips to the dump to clean up the old porch remains. Here a pic of the event:
I thought this was pretty funny:
ONE THING KIDS LIKE is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to a burned-out warehouse. "Oh, oh," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late. -- Jack Handley, The New Mexican, 1988.

It has been a cold day here in the North Woods. I spent most fo the day working on the porch project. It is really coming into shape. Ia m hopping that I can be done soon. It is just taking so long.... I guess it is because I am slow.... The niegors all think it is really looking nice, I have my doubts though. Here are some pictures of Daichi and my sister and her duaghter, Jillian.
I am still working away on the site. Please excuse the mess! Here is a funny/dirty limmerick from the quote of the day:
There was a young girl from St. Paul who went to a newspaper ball. Her dress caught on fire And burnt her entire Front page and sport section and all.
Well I am slowly rebuilding japanish.org after I upgraded the site software to the new MT 3.11 release. It was working fine, but the comment spam software, Blackist 1.65, wasn't operational and I can't let that happen. So I was messing around trying to roll back to the old version of MT and really screwed things up. Oh and I didn't have a good backup system so it might be awhile to get all the posts reloaded.
I am going to wait untill the dust settles with Blacklist before taking the plunge again.
I am testing the system as I managed to mess it up really bad..
