Here is a picture that I took when Yuko and I and her mother made a trip to the folk's house in Des Moines, IA back in July. I was taken aback the other day while I crusing some pictures taken while Daichi was just a little peanut. Man his legs were so thin. Now Daichi is a little chunk! Everyone was right, babies do grow up fast.
Even though I am pretty sick I have to comply. What I mean is that the city sent me a nice little letter informing me that I need to remove my rubish from in front of my garage of face their rath.... So I decided that I would take the day off and go and rent a Uhaul pickup truck and make some trips to the dump to clean up the old porch remains. Here a pic of the event:
I thought this was pretty funny:
ONE THING KIDS LIKE is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to a burned-out warehouse. "Oh, oh," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late. -- Jack Handley, The New Mexican, 1988.
It has been a cold day here in the North Woods. I spent most fo the day working on the porch project. It is really coming into shape. Ia m hopping that I can be done soon. It is just taking so long.... I guess it is because I am slow.... The niegors all think it is really looking nice, I have my doubts though. Here are some pictures of Daichi and my sister and her duaghter, Jillian.
