What was someone thinking?

|

It looks like Genuine Scooter Company will be releasing a new scooter. I don't know what they are thinking, I mean their moto has been an all steel, manual shift scooter. Most of the people that stop by my little piece of the internet world know that I ride a scooter, it just happens to be that it iis made India and a copy of the Vespa with some much needed improvements. Scooter people, well, are different than most. Well on second thought, maybe not, but we do feel strongly about our scooters and usually take a companies word on things like their beliefs and business practices. Here's what Genuine has to say about their only product line, the Stella.

What sets Genuine Scooters apart from the rest?
We didn't call the company "Genuine" for nothin'! We're the real deal. We are real scooter people. We worked on developing and enhancing this product for almost two years. We've got more experience in the industry than most and we understand the needs of consumers. In fact, our management team is made up of people from the dealer level, the wholesale level and the consumer level.

Well it seems that times have changed. Genuine is going to be releasing a twist-n-go model as seen below. Now I am not a business man or a scooter sales guy, but what in the hell?

Here is the offical press release, let's just hope this product is not. :-)
