I have been working on recovering my lost entries after a failed attempt at upgrading my MT to the new 3.12 version. it is a long and slow process that has to be done manually, so it is going to be awhile until Japanish is whole again. Here are some new Daichi pics.....

Santa came early for me. I got a almost new Beseler 23C II darkroom enlarger. It was a long shoot to say the least. I saw an ad for it and I offered 250.00 dollars for it and the guy agreed on the price and I picked it up on Friday. What I didn't know before I bought it, was that is is almost new. It was sitting in the guy's closet for a couple of years.
The beseler didn't have a base, so I did so searching on the 'net and the wife and I headed out to homedepot to get so'pllys and I built the base in an hour. Amazingly enough, it is 99% square. Good enough for government work. :-)

Well it is Halloween here and it is creepy here in the 'hood. Yuko is still really sick with the morning sickness. I guess I shouldn't call it that because she is sick 24/7 and not just in the morning. I wonder when it will just be in the morning.
I will post a couple more pictures from this run then I will be adding a gallery for the walk we took. If you would like to get on the notification list, please let me know.

I am back again after a long week. I am sorry that I can't always get around to posting here. Well tonight I present another in a string of wonderful photos that my wife took when we took a fall walk around the 'hood. She really does a great job with her Canon.
On the other news front, we survived the Shania Twain concert here in St. Paul, Minnesota. I have to say acouple of things about the concert: First, the music was too lound and thusly left me wishing I could here the notes. It really sounded like mush. Second, I left wondering if she was lip syncing, as the songs were so much like the ones on the CD. Thrid, Shania was dressed funky....
Things I like about the concert: I thought it was great that Shania made the show a family affair. Second, the light show was pretty good.

Well I am back again. Today has been a fun day for Yuko and I. First of all it started off right with Yuko not getting sick! We are hopping that she is over the worst of the morning sickness. I know that it is too early to tell but I am hopping that it is so.
We went this afternoon to a wedding reception for our friends, Asuko and Jason. We had a great time and had great food from Cossetta's. I would really recomend this resturant to anyone that like Italian, but be careful of what dishes you choose as some of them tend to be a little on the greasey side. Well anyway, I hope they get some nice things for their new life here in the US.

These photos were taken by my lovely wife, Yuko and her Cannon digital camera. We sure have gotten a lot of use out of the little bugger and the best part of it is that we got it for free. Her father won it in a bingo game and he gave it to her.
It sure was cold today. I am thinking that it is going to be a really nasty Halloween here. I beleive in 1992 we had a really bad blizzard on Halloween that left about 3' of snow on the ground. Let's hope that we won't have this kind of Halloween this year. I don't think that I can talk Yuko into going to any of the scary huanted houses this year as she is pregnant and probably not next year either, but there is always hope.
What I mean by the end is near is that we are quickly rolling from fall into winter.
